Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur

Match Preview

This is one of those London derbies where the form book can be forgotten. Chelsea sit fourth after back-to-back league wins, while Spurs are 16th and only recently claimed their first victory of the season against Coventry. Tottenham have lost six consecutive Premier League London derbies, while Chelsea have won the last six league meetings between these sides. I expect nerves, hard tackles and arguments from the first whistle.

The card statistics are the main focus. The last five H2H meetings produced 7, 6, 10, 5 and 1 cards, averaging 5.8 per game. The three most recent meetings all went over this line. Chelsea average 1.9 yellow cards in the league, while their last ten matches have averaged 4.6 total cards. Spurs average 1.3 league yellows, but that figure rises to 2.8 across their last ten away games. Referee Chris Kavanagh has shown 4, 6, 4, 6 and 5 yellow cards in his five league matches this season, averaging exactly 5.0 per game. His figures across the last two seasons stand at 4.26 yellows and 23.03 fouls per match.

Chelsea are without goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (6/0), midfielder Reece James (4/0) and winger Jamie Gittens (0/0). Defender Pep Chavarria (6/0) and striker Emanuel Emegha (0/0) are doubtful. Spurs will miss midfielder Lucas Bergvall (4/0), wingers Savio (4/0) and Wilson Odobert (0/0), attacking midfielder Xavi Simons (0/0) and forward Mykhaylo Mudryk (1/0). Midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur (6/0) is also suspended.

This derby has plenty of bad blood, the recent H2H meetings have produced plenty of cards, and Kavanagh has the numbers to support the trend.

Como vs Manchester United

Match Preview

Como took the lead and looked competitive in a 3-2 defeat away to Feyenoord last Wednesday evening, but they struggled to respond to an attacking side like the Dutch team on that occasion.

A decent bounce-back followed on Sunday afternoon, when they picked up all three points with a 3-1 victory away to a solid Fiorentina side in an even more open game than the final score suggests.

Defender Chalobah (6/0) and forward Kean (3/0) are doubtful. Unavailable are defender Kambwala (1/0), midfielder Caqueret (6/0), and forwards Addai (1/0) and Diao (6/2).

Manchester United were below the required level in a 2-0 defeat away to Atletico Madrid in their last Champions League outing.

They conceded in the very first minute and had some decent attacking spells, but lacked real effectiveness and remained more vulnerable defensively than they should have been. They were also rather passive in a 1-1 draw away to Leeds last Sunday afternoon, meaning they have now gone six matches without a victory in all competitions.

Defender Yoro (4/0) is suspended, while defender Dorgu (5/0), midfielder Ugarte and forward Sesko (4/1) will also be unavailable. Defenders Martinez (6/0), Shaw (5/0) and Heaven (2/0), as well as midfielder Mainoo (6/0), are currently doubtful.

Como have looked far better in recent weeks and, perhaps more importantly, are creating chances more easily. The English side should not be completely written off, but looking at these two teams, it is difficult to see Manchester United coming away with anything against a side that has enjoyed a much better atmosphere, stronger team cohesion and greater confidence lately.

Fenerbahçe vs Slavia Praha

Match Preview

Fenerbahce were completely destroyed in the second round of the Champions League, conceding six goals away to Aston Villa last midweek.

Luckily for them, they managed to lift their spirits with a comfortable 3:0 home victory over Alanyaspor last Saturday evening in the domestic league. Defenders Muldur (2/0) and Oosterwolde, along with midfielders Yandas (1/0) and Asensio (3/2), are unavailable.

Slavia Prague enjoyed more possession away to Sabah Baku last Tuesday night but failed to create enough concrete chances in a 2:0 defeat.

They were somewhat outplayed by a far more direct opponent and continued their unimpressive run with a goalless home draw against Hradec Kralove. Defenders Jurasek (3/1), Pitak (3/0) and Chaloupek (9/1), along with forwards Chory (9/4), Ouanda (3/1) and Schranz (7/0), are expected to be absent.

Slavia Prague arrive with their morale somewhat shaken, and it is difficult to see them producing an impressive performance against Fenerbahce, who look considerably sharper and more dangerous in front of their own fans. The home side should have the advantage and will be looking to build on their recent domestic victory.

Football / Spain La Liga, Saturday, 17 October 2026 at 21:00

Valencia vs Athletic Club

Match Preview

Valencia looked rather lively away to Santander, managing to pick up a point in a 2:2 draw last Sunday evening.

Not only did they match their opponents, but Valencia actually created far more chances. However, their defensive problems disappointed once again, leaving them second from bottom with 15 goals conceded in eight matches. Forwards Lopez, Sadiq (3/1) and Canos are out injured. Defenders Foulquier and Copete, along with forward Rioja (4/1), are doubtful.

Athletic Bilbao did not finish their previous match, which was stopped in the 22nd minute with the score still goalless away to Vallecano.

This could give them slightly fresher legs ahead of this game. They started the season with a 2-2-2 record but have remained undefeated over the last four rounds. The visitors will be without midfielder Sancet (7/1) and forward Williams (6/1), while defender Laporte (7/0) remains doubtful.

It's not easy to back Bilbao away from home, but based on everything we've seen from both teams so far, Valencia are really struggling, and their season is beginning to resemble the previous one. Bilbao have shown far greater tactical awareness and intensity in their performances, and I have little doubt that they are much closer to securing a victory here.

Celta de Vigo vs Juventus

Match Preview

Celta come from one of the most uninteresting matches of the previous weekend's Primera División, as they picked up a point in a goalless draw away to Elche. It was a positive result, but both sides created very little throughout the game.

Celta lost their opening-round match away to Omonia and will definitely be looking to deliver a stronger performance against a very reputable opponent here.

Defender Starfelt (3/1), midfielder Ramon (7/1) and forward El Abdellaoui (3/0) are unavailable, while midfielder Antanon (1/0) is doubtful.

Juventus struggled last Sunday night away to Cagliari, managing to collect only a point in a 1:1 draw.

Their opponents opened the scoring early, while Juventus gradually gained more control as the game progressed. However, they missed a couple of decent chances in the second half and ultimately failed to secure all three points.

The visitors will be without goalkeeper Grabara (1/0), defender Rugani (6/0), midfielders Thuram and Locatelli (3/0), as well as forwards Boga (3/0), Milik (2/0), Yildiz (1/0) and Zhegrova (5/2).

Juventus are not shining at the moment, and this is where I see an opportunity for Celta. Juventus remain dangerous going forward but are clearly struggling to find their rhythm and dominate matches consistently. Celta should also have their chances, making this a potentially competitive encounter.

Real Betis vs Porto

Match Preview

Real Betis were determined and highly effective in a 5:2 home victory over Osasuna last weekend, making an excellent start to their season following the international break.

They established a two-goal lead in the first half but were tested after the break, with Osasuna reducing the deficit to 3:2. Betis responded in an attacking manner once again, eventually securing an impressive victory. Defender Firpo (2/0) is out injured, while forwards Ruibal and Losada are currently doubtful.

FC Porto were given a serious test away to Maritimo last weekend but still managed to secure a narrow 1:2 victory thanks to a late goal.

They conceded first and had to dig deep in the second half to turn the game around, creating a fair number of chances before eventually scoring the winner. Defenders Bednarek (8/1) and Prpic, along with midfielder Sousa, are unavailable. Doubts remain over defenders Perez (5/1) and Zaidu (4/0), as well as forward William Gomes (8/2).

Considering the way both teams have been playing, it is difficult to see this being a closed contest, with neither side likely to adopt a passive approach. Betis enter this match in excellent spirits, and the positive atmosphere surrounding the team should contribute to an even more open encounter with chances at both ends.

Inter vs Club Brugge

Match Preview

Inter had a relatively easy match at home against Parma last weekend, celebrating an impressive 3:0 victory on Saturday evening.

They scored all three goals between the 13th and 31st minutes, cruising to victory before lowering the tempo in the second half when the final outcome was already decided.

Defender Stones (3/0) and midfielder Jones (4/0) are missing for the home team.

Club Brugge were impressive away to RAAL La Louviere last weekend, picking up all three points in a 1:4 victory on Saturday evening.

Truth be told, they deserved to score even more throughout the match, as Club Brugge remain just one point behind first-placed Gent, with the domestic league still their priority.

Defender Ordonez has been missing since the start of the season.

Following their defeat away to Real Madrid, there's no doubt that Inter will be looking to secure all three points here from the very first minute. Given the importance of the match, Inter should attack with great intensity, potentially leaving gaps at the back for Club Brugge to exploit. The visitors are more than capable of scoring, but unfortunately for them, they face an opponent with considerably more quality.

Football / Denmark Superligaen Sunday, 11 October 2026 at 19:00

FC Midtjylland vs FC København

Match Preview

Midtjylland are second with 19 points and remain unbeaten after nine league games, scoring 17 goals and conceding nine. They have scored in every round, while seven of their nine matches have ended with both teams finding the net. Copenhagen lead by five points after winning eight of their nine matches, with 23 goals scored and eight conceded. They have won five consecutive league games with an impressive 13-1 goal record, setting up a clash between Denmark's two strongest teams for first place.

The recent league history also points towards goals. The last four league meetings finished 2-1, 1-1, 1-1 and 4-2, meaning both teams scored in all four encounters. The combined pick landed twice, but the current attacking numbers are even more encouraging. Midtjylland's matches average 2.89 goals, while Copenhagen's average 3.44 goals. Midtjylland need a win to reduce the five-point gap, whereas Copenhagen are likely to stick to their usual attacking approach after scoring 13 goals in their last five league games.

Midtjylland will miss suspended defender Rasmus Nissen Kristensen (9/1) and defender Abdou Aziz Ndiaye (3/0). Injured goalkeeper Elias Olafsson (9/0), defenders Magnus Jensen (7/1), Martin Erlic (6/1), Mads Bech Sorensen (5/1) and Beni Junior (7/0) are also unavailable. Copenhagen will be without defender Rodrigo Huescas (0/0) and midfielder Magnus Mattsson (0/0). Jacob Karlsen will referee the match.

With Midtjylland weakened defensively but still reliable going forward, I expect both sides to create chances and contribute to an entertaining, goal-filled encounter.

England: Premier League KICKOFF 13:30 Saturday, October 10, 2026

Arsenal vs Leeds

MATCH PREDICTION ANALYSIS

Arsenal host Leeds at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 10 October 2026 in a Premier League regular-season fixture. The Gunners sit second in the table with 12 points from six games, while Leeds occupy fifth place with 9 points. This matchup carries significant weight in the early-season title race, with the home side heavily favoured by the market at 1.38 to claim all three points.

Arsenal have impressed with four wins from their last five outings, scoring 9 goals and conceding 6 in that span. However, their form is inconsistent: they suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat to Brighton but bounced back with a 4-2 victory over Ipswich. Leeds, meanwhile, show greater stability with one win and three draws in their recent run, though they were thrashed 3-6 by Chelsea. Both teams possess identical goal differences of +4, but Arsenal's superior points tally reflects their more consistent winning record. The form rating favours the home side at 57% versus 43% for the visitors.

The betting market backs Arsenal convincingly, with strong odds-on pricing for a home win. Over 2.5 goals sits at 1.75, reflecting expectation of an open contest. BTTS Yes is priced at 1.99, suggesting both teams are expected to find the net. The statistical model assigns 45% probability to a home win and 45% to a draw, with 10% for an away victory. Despite Leeds' superior defensive rating of 57%, Arsenal's attack (53%) and home advantage support the favourite narrative.

Key bet: Arsenal to win outright at 1.38. The Gunners hold multiple structural advantages—superior league position, stronger recent victories, and home-ground benefit. Though the model highlights surprising draw potential, Arsenal's class and the bookmakers' conviction make the straight win the most prudent play.

Croatia vs Spain

Match Preview

There's not much to say about Croatia's 0:7 loss to England in front of their own fans last Saturday evening, as they were completely outplayed in every aspect of the game.

It was a complete collapse of their game plan, with England looking fully determined and willing to maintain a high level of intensity throughout the match.

Defenders Erlic (13/1, Midtjylland), Juranovic (40/0, Union Berlin), Caleta-Car (38/1, Sassuolo), midfielders Moro (10/0, Bologna) and Fruk (7/1, Rijeka), as well as forward Orsic (28/2, Dinamo Zagreb), are not called up.

Spain recorded a comfortable and professional 3:1 victory at home against Czech Republic, continuing their positive run since the start of the Nations League.

They dropped the intensity at times, allowing the visitors to look competitive during parts of the second half, but the Spaniards reacted quickly and eventually sealed the victory with a late goal from Merino.

Defenders Grimaldo (14/0, At Madrid), Porro (24/2, Tottenham), Garcia (22/0, Barcelona), midfielder Gavi (32/5, Barcelona), and forwards Torres (66/25, PSG), Williams (38/7, At Bilbao) and Iglesias (9/0, Celta) are missing.

There's no other option for Croatia but to attack here and show their competitive spirit after the latest disaster. Spain remain huge favorites and should be able to take all three points, but I don't expect their intensity to be quite as high this time, and I definitely see the hosts being dangerous and capable of scoring.

After all, this is the fourth game, and Croatia should be able to find some gaps as well, especially considering they had certain periods in their favor in the previous meeting in Spain.

Montenegro vs Armenia

Match Preview

Montenegro have made a strong start to their Nations League campaign, winning all three of their matches so far. Their latest result was a 2-1 victory away to Latvia last Friday.

It was a deserved win, with Adzic scoring early in both halves. Montenegro created several additional chances and could have won by a bigger margin. However, they will be without defenders Marusic and Sipcic, as well as midfielders Vukotic, Haksabanovic and Camaj.

Armenia struggled to respond after their disappointing 3-2 home defeat to Montenegro, suffering another loss against Cyprus last Friday. They went down 2-0 despite having a man advantage for the final 40 minutes and were unable to turn their chances into goals.

Armenia will be missing defenders Bandikyan, Bueno, Mkrtchyan, Muradyan and Grigoryan, while forward Ranos is also unavailable.

Armenia need a positive result to remain in contention for second place, and their performance in the first meeting suggests they can create problems again. Montenegro are deserved favourites given their form, home advantage and motivation, but their defensive stability remains a concern.

Croatia vs England

Match Preview

Croatia suffered a 4-1 defeat away to Spain in the previous round and will be looking for a much better performance on home soil. They conceded after just two minutes but quickly found an equalizer. However, as the match progressed, Spain’s superior intensity became clear and Croatia struggled to keep up.

Croatia will be without defenders Erlic, Juranovic and Caleta-Car, midfielder Moro, and forward Orsic.

England, meanwhile, comfortably defeated the Czech Republic 2-0 away from home, producing a professional performance and justifying their status as favourites. The visitors showed greater intensity and took full control after the hosts were reduced to ten men, with the result never seriously in doubt.

England have several notable absences for this international break. Henderson, O'Reilly, Livramento, Stones, James and Spence are missing from defence, while Rice, Palmer, Mainoo and Henderson are unavailable in midfield. Up front, Rashford and Watkins are also absent.

England come into the match as favourites, but Croatia should be more competitive at home and are unlikely to simply sit back. These sides know each other well after their recent meeting, and with Croatia expected to take a more attacking approach, another entertaining encounter could be on the cards.

Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Sweden

Match Preview

Bosnia & Herzegovina produced an impressive performance away to Romania last Monday, winning 4-2 after showing plenty of attacking quality. Their quick transitions caused problems throughout the match, and they could even have scored more.

Vasilj, Dedic, Hadzikadunic, Gazibegovic, Hadziahmetovic and Burnic are unavailable.

Sweden have also made an excellent start to the Nations League. After beating Romania, they followed it with a convincing 3-1 home win over Poland. Despite Poland briefly getting back into the game, Sweden created more going forward and deserved the victory.

Holm, Ekdal, Lagerbielke, Hien, Stoud, Ayari, Svanberg, Ali, Isak, Nilsson and Elanga will miss this match.

Bosnia return home in good form and should be motivated to push for another three points, with Dzeko's farewell adding extra importance to the occasion. Sweden arrive with several absences but still possess enough attacking quality to cause problems. With neither side likely to settle for a passive approach, this could develop into an open and entertaining match.

Malta vs Gibraltar

Match Preview

Malta are in strong form, having won their last three matches: 2-0 away to Azerbaijan, 2-1 away to Andorra in the Nations League, and 2-0 against Liechtenstein in a friendly. Coach Emilio De Leo rotated heavily against Liechtenstein, leaving the main players fresh for this match. Teddy Teuma, Matthew Guillaumier, Ilyas Chouaref, Irvin Cardona and Paul Mbong are all available.

Gibraltar opened their Nations League campaign with a 0-0 home draw against Andorra. They defended well enough to keep a clean sheet but offered very little going forward, and this will be a tougher challenge away from home. No new squad problems have been reported.

Malta have improved under De Leo and should be confident after three straight wins. Gibraltar can defend deep, but Malta have more quality and attacking options. The hosts should control the game and have a good opportunity to win by at least two goals.

Finland vs Belarus

Match Preview

Finland responded strongly after defeats to Germany and Hungary with an impressive 7-0 away win over San Marino. It was a one-sided match, but their attacking efficiency and finishing were particularly sharp.

Tenho, Jensen, Pyythia, Antman and Skytta are unavailable.

Belarus had some positive results earlier in the year, although mainly against weaker opposition in friendlies. They struggled in their first competitive match, losing 2-0 away to Albania after conceding twice in the first half and creating little threat.

Parkhomenko, Zabelin, Pigas, Kavalyow, Lisakovich, Kireev and Morozov will miss this match.

Finland should enter with plenty of confidence after their big win, while Belarus need to improve considerably from their opening performance. The hosts remain the stronger side and should be capable of controlling the game and creating enough opportunities to secure a positive result.

Georgia vs Ukraine

Match Preview

Georgia suffered a disappointing defeat to Northern Ireland despite creating several good chances. Their finishing was poor, including a missed penalty from Kvaratskhelia and a big chance from close range. The coach has since been replaced by Svanadze, who has had only a few days with the team, so major changes are unlikely. Georgia have enough attacking quality to score if they improve their finishing.

Ukraine collected all three points against Hungary after producing consistent attacking pressure throughout the match. They have scored in 9 of their last 10 games, with only France keeping them from scoring. Their victory over Hungary was deserved, and despite Nazarenko's suspension, Ukraine still have plenty of attacking options.

Georgia will be looking to respond after their disappointing result, while Ukraine arrive with confidence. Both teams have shown an attacking approach, which could make this a competitive game. With chances likely at both ends, Both Teams to Score looks like an interesting option.

Serbia vs Netherlands

Match Preview

Serbia showed some positive moments against Greece and took an early 1-0 lead through a fourth-minute goal. However, their performance gradually became more passive, with the team looking less involved as the match progressed.

They eventually suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat after conceding very late in added time. Still, when considering the match as a whole, Serbia were largely outplayed and struggled to create enough answers on the field.

Goalkeeper Rajkovic (44/0, Al Ittihad), defenders Mimovic (8/0, Fenerbahce), Milenkovic (71/3, Nottingham Forest) and Veljkovic (39/1, Crvena Zvezda), midfielder Birmancevic (17/0, Ferencvaros), and forwards Vlahovic (41/16, Besiktas) and Mitrovic (106/64, Al Rayyan) will be unavailable.

The Netherlands come into this match after a 1-1 home draw against Germany last Friday. They had to chase the result from the 32nd minute until the final stages of the game.

Gakpo scored the equalizer in the second minute of added time, with the Netherlands dominating the second half and creating enough pressure to suggest they deserved more than just a draw. Their overall performance after the break was particularly strong.

Defenders Wieffer (15/1, Brighton) and de Vrij (79/4, Panathinaikos), midfielders Kluivert (14/0, Bournemouth), de Jong (70/2, Barcelona), de Roon (44/1, Roma) and Simons (34/6, Tottenham), along with forwards Malen (56/13, Roma), Weghorst (53/14, Twente) and Depay (112/55, Corinthians), are also not included in the squad this time.

Both teams are expected to make several changes for this match. Serbia could offer more attacking threat than they managed in the opening round, but the Netherlands still look like the stronger side on paper. Their attacking options should give them plenty of opportunities, and if they find their rhythm, scoring three goals is certainly within their capabilities.

Netherlands vs Germany

Match Preview

The Netherlands welcome Germany to Amsterdam for the opening match of Nations League Group A2. The game will also mark the first appearance for Xavi Hernandez and Jurgen Klopp in charge of their respective national teams.

The Netherlands scored 11 goals and conceded 5 across their four World Cup matches. Their results were 2-2, 5-1, 3-1 and 1-1. Both teams found the net in each of those matches, while three produced more than 2.5 goals.

Germany had identical figures at the World Cup, scoring 11 and conceding 5 goals in four games. Their results were 7-1, 2-1, 1-2 and 1-1. Both teams scored in all four matches, with three also going over the 2.5-goal line. The Netherlands will be without forward Memphis Depay (112/55), while Germany have no reported late absences after all 24 selected players took part in training.

The previous five meetings between the sides finished 1-0, 2-2, 2-1, 1-1 and 4-2. Those games produced 16 goals in total, averaging 3.20 per match. Both teams scored in four of the five encounters, while three ended with over 2.5 goals.

With attacking quality on both sides and two new coaches beginning their national-team careers, another open match with chances at both ends could be expected.

Venezia vs Lazio Prediction

Match Preview

Venezia took the lead at home against Fiorentina and enjoyed a good share of possession, but they looked vulnerable defensively and eventually suffered a 2–4 defeat.

They were left without points once again, as Fiorentina remained dangerous and direct with the chances they created. Venezia now remain the only team in the league yet to collect a point.

Midfielder Busio (4/0) is doubtful. Defenders Sverko and Bella-Kotchap (3/0), midfielders Dagasso (1/0), Basic (2/0), Franjic (2/0), and forward Adorante are expected to miss out.

Lazio, meanwhile, saw their run of three consecutive Serie A victories come to an end, although they still recorded a positive result by earning a point in a 2–2 home draw against AC Milan last weekend.

However, they may feel disappointed with the result after taking a two-goal lead in the first half. Lazio became increasingly passive as the match progressed and ultimately struggled to hold on to the point.

Goalkeeper Furlanetto, defenders Doekhi (3/0), Marusic (1/0), Patric and Pellegrini, as well as midfielders Rovella (2/0) and Dele-Bashiru (1/0), are expected to remain unavailable.

Venezia's situation continues to look difficult. While they can still create dangerous opportunities, their defensive problems remain a major concern. Lazio, on the other hand, appear to be in good form, and this away match against Venezia could provide them with a good opportunity to collect another positive result.

Real Betis vs Getafe

Match Preview

Real Betis looks really impressive in recent weeks as they enjoy early into the season firstly winning at home against Real Madrid, then picking up all three points in the Champions League away to Lille - but also confirming the momentum once again in latest 1:2 victory on the road to Villarreal last weekend.
Even though they stood behind in the scoreline and had less of the possession, Betis fully deserved all three with great spirit and perfect transitioning game deserving to score even more. Defender Llorente (2/0) and forward Ruibal are out for the hosts.
Getafe comes from their fourth competitive game without a victory, being unable to justify the role of a favorite in a 1:1 clash at home against Deportivo A Coruna last weekend.
They did have some decent offensive moves, however overall, it was simply too little for them as Deportivo had more of the possession and looked slightly better throughout the clash. The guests will miss defenders Abqar (2/0), Garcia (4/0), Kiko (3/0), midfielder Uche and forward Juanmi.
Getafe is far from a positive start in Primera and they'll obviously have a really difficult time repeating similar performances from the previous season when they earned European exit. Real Betis is on a really nice momentum, and it gets even better for them in front of their own fans. The visitors simply don't seem like a team confident or coherent enough to stop the opponent this time.

Key Trends

Real Betis have won 4 of their last 5 matches.

Home Win: 1.66

Real Betis average 17.8 shots per match, compared with 10.8 for Getafe, while average possession stands at 49% vs. 42%.

Home Win: 1.66

Statistical Context

xG

Real Betis average 1.16 xG at home, while Getafe average 0.58 xG away. These figures are based on only 2 home and 2 away matches, so they should be viewed as early statistical context rather than a confirmed trend.

Warnings

4 of Getafe's last 5 matches have ended with Under 2.5 Goals.

Real Betis have won both of their home matches without conceding, while Getafe have yet to win away from home in their 2 away matches. With such a small sample, these figures should be treated with caution.
